Steerable Transport Carts

In the world of industrial production and assembly, there are many tasks that require the safe, efficient, and flexible movement of large and heavy loads across solid surfaces. Whether it’s steel structures, power plant equipment, injection molding tools, or any other heavy industrial components, the steerable transport carts developed by GD provide a reliable, powerful, and easy-to-use solution.

The design of these transport carts focuses on combining high load capacity with excellent maneuverability. As a result, these devices can operate perfectly in a load range of 10-40 tons while providing maximum efficiency on solid surfaces, such as industrial concrete floors.

Flexible, Adaptable Loading Surface

The loading surface of the transport carts is fully customizable to fit the product being transported. GD engineers consider the size, shape, and sensitivity of the load in each project, meaning the loading surface can be:

  • Smooth or ribbed steel plate
  • Replaceable wooden cladding
  • Custom-designed with special fastening or support elements

This customizability ensures maximum load safety and operational security, whether transporting simple cargo or precision components.

Excellent Maneuverability – Ability to Turn in Place

One of the standout features of GD steerable transport carts is the ability of the undercarriage to turn in place, which is available for loads up to 30 tons. This innovative undercarriage system allows the cart to be easily navigated in tight spaces with limited maneuvering room, and it is also capable of performing a full 360° turn in place.

This feature is especially useful in factories, workshops, and assembly halls where every inch counts, and maneuverability directly impacts efficiency and optimizes working hours.

Towed or Self-Propelled Battery-Powered Versions

The GD transport carts are available in two types of movement systems:

  • Towed version: A simple, cost-effective solution when the cart is moved by an external vehicle.
  • Self-propelled, battery-powered version with radio control: For maximum independence and mobility. These carts do not require cable connections for either power or control. The built-in battery and modern radio remote control allow the operator to precisely control the movement of the cart from a safe distance, minimizing workplace risks.

Key Features:

  • Load capacity: 10–40 tons
  • Movement: On solid surfaces, flat surfaces
  • Loading surface: Fully adaptable to the load
  • Undercarriage: Ability to turn in place, even with up to 30 tons of load
  • Design: Towed or self-propelled (battery-powered, radio-controlled)
  • Applications: Industrial facilities, assembly halls, production floors
