We are delighted to announce the delivery of our latest top running trolley overhead crane to Styron Kft.!
The crane was installed in the company’s production hall, which was converted from an old warehouse.
The special feature of the top running trolley overhead crane is that the trolley runs along the side of the main girder, not underneath it. This not only allows for a higher lifting position, but also significantly reduces the crane’s self-weight, especially over large spans. The crane was built with a single main girder, requiring less steel (approx. 4,000 kg instead of 6,000 kg), while still achieving the desired load capacity.
The system has a total lifting capacity of 10 tons, achieved by connecting two 5-ton chain hoists. This solution provides a lower installation height and enables an extremely high upper hook position, without the need for high lifting speed or multiple operating groups.
