Handover of a New Double-Girder Overhead Crane in Nádudvar – More Efficient and Safer Material Handling for Our Partner
This summer, at GD Gép és Daru Kft., we completed another major investment: the handover of a new 10-ton double-girder overhead crane with a span of 23.5 meters at the Nádudvar site of our hungarian partner. The goal of the project was to create a lifting system that reliably supports long-term manufacturing and logistics processes while remaining safe and easy to operate for the users.
The new crane can safely lift and move up to 10 tons across the entire hall width, allowing our partner to work faster, with fewer manual interventions and minimal downtime. Thanks to the ZL-C design, the crane provides optimal lifting height—crucial in halls where every centimeter counts and where greater clearance significantly improves production flexibility.
The crane was built with premium components, including the Stahl CraneSystems hoist, ensuring lower maintenance requirements, predictable operation, and reduced total lifetime costs for our partner. The radio remote control allows operators to maneuver from the best vantage point, while built-in safety features—such as end stops, overload protection, and optical collision prevention—enhance everyday operational safety.
Our team managed the entire project, from design and manufacturing to on-site assembly and commissioning, ensuring our partner received a fully supported solution quickly and seamlessly.
This handover demonstrates once again that GD Gép és Daru Kft. can deliver reliable, long-lasting crane systems to Hungarian industrial companies, fully compliant with the latest technical and safety standards.
The new Nádudvar overhead crane is now in service, effectively supporting our partner’s daily material handling operations.
