GD jib cranes
Pillar (column-mounted) jib crane
125 kg to 5 t with jib length up to 5 m as standard; custom designs up to 10 t. Tubular column, hot-rolled I-section jib, 270° or 360° slewing. Manual or motorised chain hoist, fixed on a reinforced concrete foundation.
Wall-mounted travelling and slewing jib crane
For frequent, lighter loads, also as a second crane level. Chain hoist up to 6.3 t, rope hoist up to 10 t, Stahl CraneSystems components, two-speed or stepless drives.
Articulating jib crane
Jib with bearing-mounted joints that moves around obstacles with minimal effort. Economical from 100 to 500 kg; electric, pneumatic or vacuum grippers.
Suspended slewing jib crane
GD's own design for rail workshops: double jib with the hoist between the arms for maximum hook height, ±180° slewing, controls that integrate with the plant system.
How to choose a jib crane
- Capacity: the heaviest load including the lifting accessory.
- Jib length and height under the jib.
- Slewing angle needed: 180°, 270° or 360°.
- Mounting: column on a concrete foundation, existing wall or column, or a wall runway.
- Hoist: manual or motorised, chain or wire rope.
- Obstacles in the work area: an articulating jib crane works around them.
What does a jib crane cost?
Mostly capacity and jib length, which set the column, the jib and the foundation. The slewing angle, hoist and controls, and installation also count.
